Codeate is a start-up based in Los Angeles, building custom applications in Virtual Reality for consumer and business markets. We strive to create immersive experiences that highlight the strengths of the medium by applying thoughtful design and technical aptitude to tackle challenges. We believe that VR/AR is an amazing medium to explore, and will in some way revolutionize the way we interact with content at every level. Our goal is to create innovative and accessible products that highlight the value of what VR/AR can bring to people.

Beginnings

Codeate was formed in July 2016 at Leo’s Apartment in Glendale. After leaving Walt Disney Imagineering as a Ride Controls Engineer, Leo sought out his long time college friend, Michael, who recently left IFTTT as a Software Engineer. Bonded by a shared interest in virtual reality technologies, the group formed Codeate, developing their first title for early access after 4 months of development.

Why Codeate?

Codeate is the combination of the words code and ideate. A portmanteau of the two concepts, Codeate seeks to utilize code as a means to extend the human will, and ideate to step beyond obvious solutions.
